Tenders Being Called in Two Counties

Tenders are being called today, Aug. 8, for work on roads in Hants and Kings counties.

The first tender in Hants County is for construction of subgrade, grading and gravelling in one section on Highway 101. The work will take place about 4.9 kilometres west of the Mount Uniacke interchange to approximately one kilometre west of the railway overpass structure at Stillwater. This tender will encompass a distance of about 5.2 kilometres.

This tender closes on Aug. 24. The work is expected to be completed by June 30, 2002.


The second tender for Hants County is for construction of subgrade, and grading and gravelling in the westbound lanes of one section of Highway 101. This tender will encompass a distance of about four kilometres west of the Mount Uniacke Interchange structure.

This tender closes on Aug. 23. The work is expected to be completed by June 30, 2002.


The tender for Kings County is for intersection improvements on concrete curb and gutter, asphalt concrete sidewalk, and asphalt concrete repaving in two sections.

Section 1--the intersections of Cambridge Mountain Road for about .35 kilometres.

Section 2--the intersection of the Greenwich Connector and Route 358, for a distance of about .5 kilometres.

This tender closes on Aug. 24. The work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
