Mary E. Black Gallery Call for Proposals

The Mary E. Black Gallery is accepting preliminary curatorial proposals for the 2003-04 season. Proposals are welcome from community groups, cultural groups, and individual curators.

Submitted proposals should be brief and include a description of the exhibition concept, an indication of how it will be produced

  • for example, curated or juried, and a working title.

The Mary E. Black Gallery is part of the Nova Scotia Centre for Craft and Design, located on Barrington Street in Halifax. The centre has a provincial mandate for the development and promotion of Nova Scotia's craft and design sectors. The mandate of the Mary E. Black Gallery is to explore issues in these sectors and to expose the public to the best work in Nova Scotia.

Proposals will be assessed by a panel of two members of the public who are experienced in craft and design issues.
