Tenders Called in Four Counties
Tenders are being called Wednesday, July 11, for work on roads in Digby, Kings, Yarmouth and Colchester counties
The tender in Digby County is for asphalt concrete repaving in one section:
Section 1--Route 303, from Digby town line to the Saint John Ferry Terminal, approximately 2.2 km.
This tender closes on July 26. The work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
The tender in Kings County is for asphalt concrete paving in one section:
Section 1--Morden Road, from 1.4 km. north of brow of Mountain Road northerly to Tower Road, approximately 5.3 km.

There are two tenders being called for Yarmouth County.
One tender for Yarmouth County is for shoreline stabilization in two sections:
Section 1--Melbourne Road (Pinkneys Point), .35 km. north of intersection with Club Road, approximately 100 metres.
Section 2--Melbourne Road (Pinkneys Point), .10 km. north of intersection with Club Road, approximately 100 metres.
This tender closes on July 26. The work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
The other tender for Yarmouth County is for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving in two sections:
Section 1--Pitman Road, from Lake George Road to Route 340, approximately 2.3 km.
Section 2--Lake George Road, from Route 340 to Pitman Road, approximately 1.8 km.
This tender closes on July 27. The work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
There are two tenders being called for Colchester County.
One tender for Colchester County is for concrete arch placement in one section:
Section 1--Chapel Multiplate; Mines Bass River Road at Great Village River near Londonderry.
This tender closes on July 26. The work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
The other tender for Colchester County is for construction of River Bridge and approaches in two sections:
Section 1--Valley Bridge, Valleydale Road, over Salmon River. The tender is for construction of a reinforced concrete bridge with prestressed concrete girders and integral abutments supported on steel H-piles for a span of about 40 metres.
Section 2--Valleydale Road. The tender is for construction of approaches to new bridge, approximately .38 km., and approaches to detour panel bridge, approximately .12 km., construction of single-lane panel bridge and removal of existing single-lane steel truss bridge.
This tender closes on July 26. The work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
