Painting work will take place on Red Bridge beginning July 3. Work is expected to be completed Aug. 3. A detour is available via Brenton Cross Road. The Brenton Cross Road bridge is now open.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Hanson Bridge
The Hanson Bridge at Little Forks River will have alternating lane closures for bridge surface preparation and protective coating until July 24. Traffic control consists of flashing lights, signs and traffic control people. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends as required.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Larry's River Road #401
The Spanks Bridge will be closed for approximately one week for bridge repair. Work begins on Monday, July 9, and is anticipated to be completed on Friday, July 13. A detour is available via Old Mountain Road. There is a one-lane bridge on this road, which has a 10-tonne maximum capacity and is closed to trucks. Work takes place between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Trunk 16
One lane will be closed on Trunk 16 from 0.6 km north of Lower Salmon River Bridge and southerly towards Halfway Cove. The work ends July 31.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Sibley Bridge, Wyses Road
Sibley Bridge will be closed beginning July 9 and ending July 27 due to repairs. Detour route via Cole Road. Traffic control will consist of signs. Hours of operations are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
KINGS COUNTY: Cornwallis River Bridge
Repairs to the Cornwallis River Bridge in Kentville continue until Aug. 1. One sidewalk is closed and the bridge is reduced to one lane as required. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.

KINGS COUNTY: Highway 101
Beginning July 11, there will be alternating lane closures for paving on Highway 101, from Exit 15 at Berwick westerly 10 km; from two km west of Exit 10 at Hortonville, westerly two km; and from Exit 17E (Kingston) to Exit 17W, a distance of two km. Work is expected to be completed July 20. Traffic control will consist of a flagperson and pilot vehicles. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Rosebank Bridge
Bridge repairs will take place, starting July 9 and ending Sept. 15. Traffic is reduced to one lane with traffic lights installed. Work hours are 24 hours, seven days a week.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Highway 105, Bras D'or
The Little Bras D'or Bridge on Highway 105 is reduced to occasional lane closures about 3.8 metres wide, due to work on the bridge. Work takes place until Dec. 31. Traffic control consists of control people. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Highway 125 will have one-lane closures for micro-surfacing until July 31. Motorists are asked to use caution and expect delays. Lane closures will have a pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Big Pond Trunk 4 from Lock Lomond Road to Glen Albert Road is under construction for upgrading, cold planing, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving until Oct. 31 There is traffic control and construction signing. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Mines-Bass River Road is closed due to culvert washout and collapse. The detour is expected to remain in effect until Aug. 31.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Trans-Canada Highway 104
Trans-Canada Highway 104, from Thompson Road to Oxford, westbound, will have a 1.5 km, one-lane closure for crack filling until June 30. A 200-metre section will have a one-lane closure with Jersey barrier for 24 hours a day with a completion date of July 4. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Joggins Bridge on Highway 101 will have a one-lane closure for bridge deck repairs until July 16. Work takes place from daylight to dark, seven days a week.

The Mill Creek Bridge on Reddy's Hill Road will be closed 24 hours a day for repair until July 31. Detour on Trunk 16 and North Riverside. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Highway 102, southbound lanes, from the Aerotech Interchange, Exit 5 to Highway 118 will have a one-lane closure for asphalt patching and paving until July 31. Traffic control is provided. Delays to be expected. Public urged to use alternate routes if possible. Work takes place from 9 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Highway 102 (southbound lanes, inbound to Halifax) from Exit 5 at Fall River to Exit 4B at the Bedford/Sackville Interchange will have a one-lane closure during construction for micro-surfacing until to Aug 31. Highway 102, between the 103 overpass and the Hammonds Plains exit, will have a one-lane closure for asphalt repaving until Aug. 1. Expect 10-to-20-minute delays. Work takes place from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Elmsdale, Highway 102 Overpass Bridge will have two narrow lanes open during bridge repairs until July 31. Detour on Trunk 14. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Elmsdale Road underpass structure Highway 102, Exit 8, is under construction for bridge rehabilitation. Lanes will be reduced to three metres until Oct. 15. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

RICHMOND COUNTY: False Bay Bridge, Port Hawkesbury
The False Bay Bridge, 0.5 km east of the Trans Canada 104/Trunk 4 overpass will have a one lane reduction until Aug. 15 for bridge rehablitation. Traffic control consists of periodic traffic control and signing during shoulder work. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Highway 103 will have a one-lane closure from Queens County line westward to the Sable River Bridge for cold planing and asphalt repaving until Aug. 31. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Cape North to Big Interval will have a one lane closure for chipseal application until July 15. Traffic control will be provided by contractor. Motorist are advised to expect delays and to drive slowly because of flying stone. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Seal Island Bridge, Baddeck
Crews will be painting the Seal Island Bridge on Trans-Canada Highway 105 until late fall. Between June 1 and Aug. 31, the bridge may have one lane closed for a maximum of three hours per day. The closure will take place during non-peak hours. Traffic control will consist of control persons or traffic lights.
