Premier Not Attending Council of Atlantic Premiers

PREMIER'S OFFICE--Premier Not Attending Council of Atlantic Premiers

Premier John Hamm will not be attending today's Council of Atlantic Premiers meeting in Charlottetown.

"As a result of recent developments in the ongoing health-care labour dispute, it's important that I remain in the province with my cabinet colleagues," said the premier.

Officials from Nova Scotia Intergovernmental Affairs are on hand in Charlottetown to represent the province's interests. Premier Hamm will participate in part of the deliberations by teleconference.
