LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR--Her Honour's Participation in Events Cancelled Due to Illness

Lieutenant-Governor Myra Freeman was admitted to the QEII Health Sciences Centre through emergency on Friday, June 29. Within hours an emergency angioplasty was performed to open a blocked artery. Her Honour is resting comfortably and is expected to be released from hospital over the weekend.

This unexpected illness has lead the Lieutenant-Governor to cancel her participation in all activities over the Canada Day weekend. Her Honour's schedule during the next few weeks may also be curtailed. An update will be provided as soon as information is available.
