Happy Canada Day

Premier John Hamm is wishing all Nova Scotians the very best for Canada Day.

"The July 1 holiday allows all Canadians, here in Nova Scotia and across the country, to celebrate our achievements, our heritage and our common bond which brings citizens together," he said. "I hope all Nova Scotians have the opportunity to enjoy the Canada Day holiday."

Premier Hamm also paid tribute to the thousands of volunteers organizing Canada Day events throughout the province.

"In this International Year of the Volunteer, we should all be thankful for the hard work and dedication of the countless volunteers who put together Canada Day events in communities from end of the province to the other," concluded the premier. "Their effort and commitment to their communities is what Canada Day is all about."
