Order Issued Against NSGEU Executive

The Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board has taken action to end an illegal work stoppage involving the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU).

The Capital Health Authority filed a complaint today requesting that the board issue a cease and desist order against members of the NSGEU and its executive.

The board issued an interim order that directs the NSGEU, president Joan Jessome, and any other members of the union''s executive and leadership, to cease and desist from causing or authorizing an illegal work stoppage.
