Visitor Information Centre Moves Along Halifax Waterfront

TOURISM/CULTURE--Visitor Information Centre Moves Along Halifax Waterfront

The provincial visitor information centre located on the Halifax waterfront is moving to a new location next to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic on the HMCS Sackville Wharf.

The new location places the centre closer to the action, where about two million people visit Halifax''s historic waterfront each year. It will work closely with the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.

The centre will open its doors tomorrow, with friendly and well- trained staff on hand to serve visitors. Visitor information centres play a major role in assisting tourists and encouraging them to stay in the province longer.

For visitor information and reservations, call 1-800-565-0000. The mailing address for the new centre is: Nova Scotia Visitor Information Centre, 1655 Lower Water Street, Halifax, B3J 1S2
