Cease and Desist Orders

The Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board has taken action to end illegal work stoppages that began today.

Complaints filed today request that the board issue cease and desist orders that apply to certain employees listed below.

The board issued interim orders that direct the employees participating in the illegal work stoppages to cease and desist and return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift.

District Health Authority No. 2, also known as South West Nova Health Authority--employees represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 4150.

Aramark Canada Ltd--employees represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 3988.

Colchester/East Hants Health Authority--employees who are members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 2525.

Guysborough/Antigonish/Strait-Health Authority--employees who are members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 2525 and the National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (CAW-Canada).

Pictou County District Health Authority--employees who are members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 2525, New Glasgow.

Cumberland Health Authority--employees who are members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 2525, New Glasgow.

District Health Authority No. 3, also known as Annapolis Valley District Health Authority--employees who are members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 4150, Yarmouth.
