Labour Relations Board--Cease and Desist Order, District Health Authority No. 8

The Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board has taken action to end an illegal work stoppage that began today.

A complaint filed today requests that the board issue a cease and desist order against certain employees of District Health Authority No. 8, also known as Cape Breton District Health Authority. The order applies to members of the National Automobile, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (CAW-CANADA), locals 4603 and 4600, Sydney.

The board has issued an interim order that directs the employees participating in the illegal work stoppage to cease and desist and return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift.
