Tenders Being Called in Four Counties

TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--Tenders Being Called in Four Counties


Tenders are being called Wednesday, June 20, for road work in Antigonish, Guysborough, Hants and Pictou counties.

One Antigonish County project will consist of asphalt concrete repaving.

Section 1 -- Route 316, from intersection of Antigonish/ Guysborough Road southerly approximately 10.8 km.

This tender closes on July 6. The work is expected to be completed by Oct.

The other Antigonish County project will consist of seal coating.

Section 2 -- Route 337, from Antigonish town line northerly, approximately 6.6 km.

This tender closes July 5. This work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

The work in Guysborough County will consist of grading and gravelling.

Section 1 -- Antigonish/Guysborough Road, from intersection of Doyle Branch Road easterly to Upper Glencoe Road, approximately 3 km.

This tender closes on July 6. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.

The work in Hants County will consist of seal coating.

Section 1 -- Route 215, from new Cheverie Road to Trunk 14 in Brooklyn, approximately 13 km.

This tender closes on July 6. The work is expected to be completed by Aug 31.

The work in Pictou County will consist of seal coating.

Section 1 -- Route 289, from railway crossing in Lansdown, northerly approximately 6.8 km.

This tender closes on July 6. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.
