LABOUR RELATIONS BOARD--Cease-Desist Order Issued in Sydney Work Stoppage

The Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board has issued an interim cease-and-desist order to end an illegal work stoppage that began today at the Cape Breton District Health Authority in Sydney.

The work stoppage involved a number of employees who are members of Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 2431 in Sydney.

The interim order, issued in response to a complaint, directs all employees participating in the illegal work stoppage to return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift and perform their lawful duties as assigned by the employer.
