HALIFAX COUNTY: Bedford Bypass, #1 Structure to Highway 101
The Bedford Bypass # 1 Structure connection to Highway 101 will be set up with pre-warning signs from June 4 to June 11. The work will begin on June 11 with a complection date of July 6. During the second phase there will be a one-lane closure for deck repairs. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Highway 102, Aerotech Interchange (Exit 5) to Highway 118
Highway 102, south-bound lanes from the Aerotech Interchange (exit 5) to Highway 118 will have a one-lane closure for asphalt patching and paving from June 2 to July 31. Traffic control will be provided. Delays to be expected, the public is urged to use alternate routes if possible. Work takes place from 9 a.m. to 7 a.m.

KINGS COUNTY: New Minas, Route 221, Kingsman Corner
There will be a closure of Route 221 at Kingsman Corner, Ross Clark for culvert repairs. Detour route by way of Bligh Road, Brooklyn Street and Black Rock Road for 24 hours per day, from June 6 to June 16.

SHELBURNE COUNTY: Highway 103, Queens County Line to Sable River Bridge
Highway 103 will have a one-lane closure from Queens County line westward to the Sable River Bridge for cold planing and asphalt repaving from June 4 to Aug. 31. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: McAmis Bridge, Trunk 4, Old South River Road
McAmis Bridge, Trunk 4, Old South River Road in Antigonish will be reduced to one lane of traffic for bridge repairs until June 15. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Route 337 from end of 1999 upgrading northerly will have a one- lane closure for repaving until June 15. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Trans-Canada Highway 104, Pomquet River Road
Trans-Canada highway 104 from Pomquet River Road will have one lane of traffic for micro-surfacing until June 15. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Highway 105, Bras D’or
The Little Bras d’Or Bridge on Highway 105 is reduced to one lane, about 3.8 metres wide due to work on the bridge until July 31. Traffic control consists of temporary signal lights. Work takes place 24 hours a day.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Trunk 4, Big Pond
Big Pond Trunk 4 from Lock Lomond Road to Glen Albert Road is under construction for upgrading, cold planing, graveling and asphalt concrete repaving until Oct. 31. There is traffic control and construction signing. The public is asked to use alternative routes if possible. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 102, Salmon River Bridge
Salmon River Bridge will have alternating lane closures, south- bound, for bridge repairs. A wide-load detour is available for vehicles over 4.3 metres. Work is expected to be completed by June 30. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 102, South-Bound
Highway 102, south-bound, will have an alternating lane closures for micro-surfacing beginning 9.6 kilometers south of Exit 12 (Brookfield) to Hants County line until about June 4. Traffic control will consist of flashing lights. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends as required.

Mines-Bass River Road is closed indefinitely due to culvert wash- out and collapse.

DIGBY COUNTY: Highway 101, Joggins Bridge
Joggins Bridge on Highway 101 will have a one-lane closure for bridge deck repairs until July 16. Work takes place from daylight to dark, 7 days per week.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Highway 102 at Kearney Lake Road Overpass
The northbound lane of Highway 102 at the Kearney Lake Road overpass structure, between the 103 overpass and the Hammonds Plains exit, will have a one-lane closure for bridge rehabilitation and asphalt patching all-day with 10- to 20-minute delays until June 22.

Trunk 1 in Upper Sackville will be repaved from Hants County line easterly toward Patton Road, Approx. 4.2 km. Traffic control consists of flag persons, cones and flashing lights until Oct. 31. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Trunk 14, Brooklyn, will be reduced to one lane for ditching and pulverization until July 15. Traffic control by control person. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

HANTS COUNTY: Elmsdale, Highway 102 Overpass Bridge
Elmsdale Highway 102, Overpss Bridge, will have two narrow lanes open during bridge repairs. Motorist can detour on Trunk 14. Work is expected to be completed by July 31. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Exit 3, Mount Uniacke Overpass
Mount Uniacke overpass will have an alternating one-lane closure for painting girders on the overpass with an expected completion date of June 30. Traffic control will be a reduced speed limit of 80kph and barrels to channel traffic.

HANTS COUNTY: Mantua Bridge
Mantua Bridge in Hants County is closed until about June 15 to replace the bridge. The detour route is Trunk 14 through Brooklyn to Route 215 to Lawrence Road.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Plaster Cove Bridge, Port Hawkesbury
Plaster Cove Bridge in Port Hawkesbury will be reduced to a two- lane closure for bridge repairs until July 15. Traffic control consists of signing and barriers which are in effect all day. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

KINGS COUNTY: Highway 101, New Minas
Highway 101 from Hants/Kings County line westerly 4.8 km will have a one-lane closure for guard-rail repairs and paving. Flag persons will be directing traffic ending on June 18. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: New Glasgow, Moores Foord Bridge on West Branch Road
Moores Foord Bridge on West Branch Road is down 24 hours a day because of ‘partial structural failure’. The expected completion date is June 22. Detour on MacIntosh Road, College Grant and Gunn Road.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Seal Island Bridge
Crews will be painting the Seal Island Bridge on Trans-Canada Highway 105 until late fall. The bridge may have one lane closed, between June 1 and Aug. 31, for a maximum of three hours per day. The closures will take place during non-peak hours. Traffic control will consist of flag persons or traffic lights.
