LABOUR RELATIONS BOARD-Labour Board Orders End to Illegal Walkout

The Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board announced today it has issued an interim cease-and-desist order to end an illegal work stoppage that began earlier today, involving a number of employees of Seafreez Foods Inc. in Canso.

The employees are members of the National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (CAW-CANADA), Local 1972.

The order, issued in response to a complaint, directs all Seafreez employees participating in the illegal work stoppage to return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift and perform their lawful duties as assigned by the employer.
