NEW WORK

HANTS: Route 277, Lantz

Beginning Monday, May 7, CN Rail will repair a railroad crossing on Route 277 in Lantz between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. The road near the crossing will be reduced to one lane, and closed for 30 minutes once a day. A detour is available via Elmsdale Road.

CAPE BRETON: Highway 105, Bras D''Or

The Little Bras D''Or Bridge on Highway 105 is reduced to one lane, about 3.8 metres wide, for 24 hours a day to allow for work on the bridge. Traffic control consists of temporary signal lights. Completion is expected July 31.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Trunk 4, Big Pond

Big Pond Trunk 4 from Lock Lomond Road to Glen Albert Road is under construction for upgrading, cold planing, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving until Oct. 31. There is traffic control and construction signing. The public is asked to use alternative routes if possible. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Reid Station Road

Reid Station Road is closed until May 11. A detour is available via Brenton Cross Road is open for traffic. Red Bridge will be closed April 17 to May 11.

COLCHESTER: Salmon River Bridge

Salmon River Bridge will have alternating lane closures, for south-bound traffic, for bridge repairs. A wide load detour is available for vehicles over 4.2 metres. Work starts April 30 and is expected to be completed by June 30. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

HALIFAX: Highway 102, At Kearney Lake Road Overpass Structure

Highway 102 at the Kearney Lake Road overpass structure between the 103 overpass and the Hammonds Plains exit, northbound lane will have a one lane closure for bridge rehabilitation and asphalt patching for 24 hours a day with 10- to 20-minute delays until June 22.

HANTS COUNTY: Mantua Bridge

Mantua Bridge in Hants County is closed until about June 15 to replace the bridge. The detour route is Trunk 14 through Brooklyn to Route 215 to Lawrence Road.

KINGS COUNTY: McMaster''s Bridge and Harmony Road

McMaster''s Bridge and Harmony Road over Fales River between Greenwood Road and Rocknotch Road is closed until May 12 for bridge repairs. The detour routes are on Greenwood Road and Rocknotch Road and are in effect 24 hours a day. Work takes place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
