NEW WORK

COLCHESTER: Salmon River Bridge

Salmon River Bridge will have alternating lane closures, south bound for bridge repairs. A wide load detour is available for vehicles over 4.2 metres. Work starts April 30 and is expected to be completed by June 30. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

HALIFAX: Victoria Road\Highway 111

The exit ramp, from Route 322 (Victoria Road) to the MacKay bridge, will be closed for pothole repairs. Traffic can use the inside clover leaf of the same interchange. Work starts May 1 and will end that day. Work takes place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

HALIFAX: Highway 118\Woodland and Highway 111 Interchange

The exit ramp, from Highway 111 to Highway 118, will be closed starting May 2 for pothole repairs. Traffic will be detoured via the Mic Mac interchange and returned to its original destination. Work takes place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The ramp will be re- opened May 4.

CONTINUING WORK

CAPE BRETON: Highway 105, Bras D’Or

The Little Bras D''Or Bridge on Highway 105 is reduced to one lane, about 3.8 metres wide, for 24 hours a day due to work on the bridge. Traffic control consists of temporary signal lights. Completion is expected July 31.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Trunk 4, Big Pond

Big Pond Trunk 4 from Lock Lomond Road to Glen Albert Road is under construction for upgrading, cold planing, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving until Oct. 31. There is traffic control and construction signing. The public is asked to use alternative routes if possible. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Truro

Reid Station Road is closed until May 11. Brenton Cross Road is open for Traffic. Red Bridge will be closed April 17 to May 11. Detour: Brenton Cross Road.

Halifax: Highway 102 -- At Kearney Lake Road Overpass Structure

Highway 102 at the Kearney Lake Road overpass structure between the 103 overpass and the Hammonds Plains exit, northbound lane will have a one lane closure for bridge rehabilitation and asphalt patching for 24 hours a day with 10 to 20 minute delays until June 22.

HANTS COUNTY: Mantua Bridge

Mantua Bridge in Hants County is closed until about June 15 to replace the bridge. The detour route is Trunk 14 through Brooklyn to Route 215 to Lawrence Road.

KINGS COUNTY: Greenwood

McMaster''s Bridge and Harmony Road over Fales River between Greenwood Road and Rocknotch road is closed for bridge repairs until May 12. The detour routes are on Greenwood Road and Rocknotch Road and are in effect 24 hours a day. Work takes place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
