Cease-and-Desist Order

The Construction Industry Panel of the Labour Relations Board of Nova Scotia announced today that it has taken action to end an illegal work stoppage involving some employees of Easco Electric Ltd. working at the Halifax International Airport.

The work stoppage began today, April 12. The employees are represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 625.

The complaint, filed today, requested that the panel issue a cease-and-desist order against certain members of the local who are participating in the illegal work stoppage.

The interim order directs those who are participating in the illegal work stoppage to cease and desist and to return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift.
