Tenders Called in Five Counties

Tenders are being called Wednesday, April 4, for work in Antigonish, Colchester, Cumberland, Guysborough and Halifax Counties.

The work in Antigonish County consists of bridge rehabilitation in three sections:

Section 1 -- Church Street Bridge (ANT032).

Section 2 -- Rights River Bridge (ANT106), Cloverdale Road.

Section 3 -- McAmis Bridge (ANT005), Trunk 4.

This tender closes on April 24. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.

The work in Colchester County consists of micro-surfacing in two sections:

Section 1 –- Trunk 4 (Pictou Road), from Vimy Road to Tch 104, approximately 5.6 km.

Section 2 -- Hwy 102 southbound lanes, from end of 2000 eps project at Como Road, southerly to the Hants County line, approximately 7.5 km.

This tender closes on April 25. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 15.

The work in Cumberland County consists of micro-surfacing in one section:

Section 1 -- Tch 104 (westbound lanes); from 1.8 km west of Highway 142 underpass structure, westerly approximately 4.0 km.

This tender closes on April 24. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 15.

The work in Guysborough County consists of bridge rehabilitation in two sections:

Section 1 -- Mill Creek Bridge (GUY248); Reddy’s Hill Road.

Section 2 -- Milford Haven Bridge (GUT226); Trunk 16.

This tender closes on April 24. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.

There are two tenders for work in Halifax County. The first is for micro-surfacing in two sections:

Section 1 -- Hwy 102 southbound lanes, from Exit 5 to Exit 4B, approximately 7.1 km.

Section 2 -- Hwy 111 eastbound and westbound lanes, from Exit 4 to bridge at Lake Micmac, approximately 1.3 km.

This tender closes on April 26. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

The other Halifax County tender is for micro-surfacing in two sections:

Section 1 -- Trunk 7, from Route 357, easterly to Salmon River Bridge, approximately 10.0 km

Section 2 -- Route 224, from Exhibition Ground Road to Glenmore Road (1.34 km); Glenmore Road (0.14 km); Elm Drive from Route 224 to Glenmore Road (0.55 km); total approximately 2.03 km

This tender closes on April 27. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.
