LABOUR RELATIONS BOARD–School Work-stoppage Complaint Dismissed

The Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board announced today it has dismissed a complaint of an illegal work stoppage filed by the Halifax Regional School Board.

The school board filed the complaint on Thursday against custodial and maintenance workers and the Nova Scotia Union of Public Employees, which represents them.

The labour relations board indicated in its interim order it was not satisfied from its investigation that the work stoppage as described in the complaint constituted an illegal work stoppage within the meaning of the Trade Union Act.
