Tenders Called in Five Counties

Tenders are being called Wednesday, March 21, for work on roads in Colchester, Pictou, Cape Breton, Antigonish and Kings Counties.

The tender in Colchester and Pictou counties will include three sections, all for surface preparation and protective coating on bridges:

Section 1 -- Corbett Bridge (Col071).

Section 2 -- Red Bridge (Col166).

Section 3 -- Springville Bridge (Pic109).

This tender closes April 11. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

The tender in Cape Breton County is for micro-surfacing in two sections:

Section 1 -- Highway 125, from end of twinning near Exit 4, easterly to start of 1997 micro-surfacing, approximately 3.1 km.

Section 2 -- Highway 125, from start of 1997 micro-surfacing near Exit 5, easterly to start of 2000 paving, approximately 2.2 km.

This tender closes April 10. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

The tender in Antigonish County is for micro-surfacing in three sections:

Section 1 -- Highway 104, from Frankville (Exit 38) easterly, approximately 8.3 km.

Section 2 -- Highway 104, from Pomquet River Road easterly, approximately 5.7 km.

Section 3 -- Old Trunk 4, Mcamis Bridge, approximately 0.1 km.

This tender closes on April 12. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

The tender in Kings County is for micro-surfacing in three sections:

Section 1 -- Highway 101, from Berwick interchange (Exit 15), westerly to 1.5 km west of Exit 16, approximately 10.0 km.

Section 2 -- Highway 101, from two km west of Hortonville interchange (Exit 10), westerly approximately 2.0 km.

Section 3 -- Highway 101, from Exit 17E to Exit 17w, approximately 2.0 km.

This tender closes on April 11. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 15.
