Holiday Season Message, 2000

The following is the holiday season message from Premier John Hamm.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours the very best for a safe and happy holiday season.

Nova Scotians are well known around the world for their hospitality and generous spirit. These qualities shine through even more during the holiday season.

You may wish to share the true meaning of the holidays by finding some time to help those who are less fortunate in our society. Indeed, Nova Scotia is home to hundreds of volunteer organizations dedicated to strengthening our communities and our province by helping those unable to help themselves. These charitable groups greatly appreciate any assistance toward their good deeds.

The holiday season is also a time that draws people and communities closer together. It provides us with an opportunity to reflect on, and thank, the most important blessings in our lives--family and friends.
