NEW WORK

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Eskasoni Mountain Road

There will be a detour at the Eskasoni Mountain Road, between Farrell Road and Glen Road. The detour will be marked for approximately six kilometres. The project began on Thursday, Sept. 14, and is expected to be completed on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

PICTOU/GUYSBOROUGH COUNTIES: Route 374

Possible delays are to be expected on Route 374, along Stellarton/Trafalgar roads, from the end of new pavement at Lorne, southerly 18.15 kilometres towards Sheet Harbour. Delays are due to construction, including pulverisation, gravelling, asphalt concrete patching, repaving and paving. The work takes place from 6 a.m. until dark, beginning Monday, Sept. 18. It is expected to be completed on Oct. 31. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays during the construction project.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Intersection Davidson Road and Myra Road

Construction will take place for the realignment of the intersection of Davidson Road and Myra Road, Porter's Lake, for approximately 70 metres. The work includes grading, gravelling and paving. The work will commence Monday, Sept. 18 with a completion date of Oct. 31. The work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays during the construction project.

YARMOUTH COUNTY: Argyle Head Road

The Argyle Head Road will be reduced to one lane, for approximately four kilometres for repaving. The work will commence on Sept. 18 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The expected completion date of the project is Oct. 31, Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays during the construction project.

CONTINUING WORK

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Route 337

Upgrading on Route 337 for 3.2 kilometres from the Antigonish town line, then northerly 3.4 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for grading, gravelling, pulverization and asphalt concrete repaving. Work on the project is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Completion date is Nov. 15.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Highway 125

Highway 125 near Sydney River will be reduced to one lane for upgrading. Work on the project is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a completion date of Oct. 31.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 102, Shortt's Lake Overpass

Highway 102, southbound lanes on the Shortt's Lake Overpass, will be reduced to one lane for necessary concrete road repairs. Detour routes: wide-load detour for vehicles over 4.3 metres on weekends as required. Work on the project is from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily until completion Oct. 31, Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays during the construction project.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: East Prince Street and Old Salmon River Road

Motorists are advised that traffic will be reduced to one lane at the intersection of East Prince Street and Old Salmon River Road while paving and improvements are made to the intersection. Traffic will be required to stop for periods during construction and obey traffic control staff on site. Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Route 224

Route 224 from Route 336 to the Musquodoboit Valley High School will be reduced to one lane for ditching, culverts, asphalt patching and repaving. Work on the project is from 6:30 a.m. until dark, until completion on Oct. 31.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Route 211

Route 211, County Harbour Ferry to Trunk 7, will be reduced to one lane for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving. Work on the project is from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., until completion Oct. 15.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Highway 102

Highway 102 northbound lanes in Halifax County, from Exit 3 (Hammonds Plains Road) to Exit 4B (Hwy 101 - Bedford), including exit and entrance ramps will be reduced to one lane for bridge rehabilitation work. Completion date of project is Oct. 20. To avoid delay please use alternate routes.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Trunk 2

Trunk 2, from Sunnylea Road North to Highway 102 overpass at Enfield, will have lane closures for asphalt concrete repaving. Work on the project is from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. until completion on Sept. 22. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays during the construction project.

HALIFAX COUNTY: West Ship Harbour and Clam Bay Road

West Ship Harbour and Clam Bay Roads in Halifax County will be reduced to one lane for asphalt concrete repaving from Trunk 7 easterly to Little Harbour Road. Work on the project is from 7 a.m. until dark, until completion on Oct. 31.

HANTS COUNTY: Shubenacadie River Structure

The Shubenacadie River Structure, Hants Co., will be reduced to one lane for bridge rehabilitation. Work on the project is from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. until completion Oct. 31.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Cabot Trail

The Cabot Trail in the Lake O'Law area will be reduced to single lane for repaving and other repairs. Work on the project is from 6 a.m. until dark, with a completion date of Oct. 15.

INVERNESS COUNTY: MacKay Bridge (Whycocomagh)

The MacKay Bridge on the Trans-Canada Highway 105, 200 metres west of Route 223, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for bridge repairs. There are traffic lights in effect. Completion date of the project is Sept. 29.

PICTOU COUNTY: Route 289

Construction on Route 289 from the railway crossing in Landsdowne northerly for approximately 6.75 kilometres will be under construction for asphalt concrete repaving. There is a possibility of one-way traffic with a maximum delay of 15 minutes. The expected completion date is Oct. 31.

QUEENS COUNTY: Charleston Bridge

The Charleston Bridge over the Medway River in Queens County is closed indefinitely due to bridge collapse. Detour: from Bridge South on 472 Mill Village East to Trunk 3, west on Trunk 3 to 474 Medway River Road north to bridge.

SHELBURNE COUNTY: Forbes Point Road

Forbes Point Road will be reduced to one lane for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving. Completion date of the project is Oct. 31.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Englishtown Ferry

The Englishtown Ferry will be out-of-service for repairs from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday to Friday, until further notice.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Wreck Cove

The MacLeod Bridge will be reduced to one lane with a width of a approximately 3.5 metres. Traffic control is via traffic lights for approximately 500 metres. The bridge is located at Trunk 30 (Cabot Trail). Completion date of the project is Oct. 31.
