Annual Conference Set for Halifax

The public accounts committee of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly and the Office of the Auditor General of Nova Scotia will host the annual joint conference of the Canadian Council of Public Accounts Committees and the Canadian Council of Legislative Auditors.

The conference will take place Sept. 18-19 at the World Trade and Convention Centre in Halifax. More than 100 delegates representing every province, the federal government and other countries will be in attendance.

The annual conference alternates between capital cities and was last held in Nova Scotia in 1988. Business sessions will be held jointly on issues of common interest. The groups will also meet separately. A report on the results of the proceedings will be released following the conference.
