Road Tenders Called in Two Counties

Tenders are being called Wednesday, Sept. 6, for road projects in Halifax and Hants counties.

In Halifax County, a tender is being called to widen intersections and install holding lanes in two sections: Section 1: Route 213 at Lucasville Road, about 0.5 kilometres Section 2: Route 213 at Glen Arbour Subdivision, about 0.5 kilometres.

The tender closes Thursday, Sept. 21, and work is expected to be completed by Thursday, Nov. 30.

In Hants County, tenders are being called for bridge construction, grading, gravelling and asphalt paving in two sections. Section 1: Mount Uniacke Interchange Structure; Highway 101, extension to existing bridge. Section 2: Mount Uniacke Connector approaches and detour with Panel Bridge.

The tender will close Thursday, Sept. 21, and work is expected to be completed by Thursday, May 31.

Also in Hants County a tender is being called for the repaving of Route 215 from Kennetcook Bridge to intersection with Trunk 14, about three kilometres. The tender closes Tuesday, Sept. 12, and work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, Oct. 31.
