Atlantic Canada's Oldest Vehicle in Sherbrooke

Atlantic Canada's oldest operating vehicle, a 1902 Columbia Electric Car, will be featured in the sixth annual classic car show in Sherbrooke, Guysborough Co. The show will take place on Saturday, Sept. 9, and Sunday, Sept. 10.

Owned and driven by Willard Saulnier of Meteghan, the 88-year-old car is an unusual and rare vehicle. It is one of about 200 vehicles from across the Maritimes expected at the annual Sherbrooke Show and Shine.

All cars will participate in a classic convoy through the streets of Sherbrooke at about 5 p.m. on Saturday, as they begin their Show and Shine drive to the community of Sonora. The cars and drivers return to Sherbrooke Village later Saturday evening to enjoy musical entertainment with George Brothers, J.P. Ellis and Patrick Ellis at the Sherbrooke Village Courthouse from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
