PICTOU COUNTY: Route 289

The Balfour (Elmer) Bridge, located just north of the Maritimes North East Pipeline crossing on Route 289 in New Lairg, from the Montreal Road to the Lansdowne Road, will be closed to traffic for four days due to construction. The work commenced on Monday, Aug. 21. A detour is available via the Montreal and Lansdowne roads to Route 289.
