Road Tenders Called in Four Counties

Tenders are being called Wednesday for road projects in Cumberland, Halifax, Guysborough and Pictou counties.

In Cumberland County, a tender is being called for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving on Route 301, from about 0.4 kilometres south of Carrington Road towards Oxford, about five kilometres. The tender closes Aug. 24. Work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2000.

In Halifax County, a tender is being called for grading, gravelling and asphalt concrete paving on Davidson Road and realignment of Davidson Road at Myra Road for about 0.1 kilometres. The tender closes on Aug. 24. Work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2000.

In Guysborough and Pictou counties, a tender is being called for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete patching and repaving in the following three sections:

  • Route 374 (Stellarton-Trafalgar Road), Pictou County, from end of new pavement at Lorne south about 8.4 kilometres.
  • Route 374 (Sanctuary Road-Sheet Harbour), Guysborough County, from Pictou County/St. Mary's District Line towards Sheet Harbour, about four kilometres.
  • Route 374 (Stellarton-Trafalgar Road), Pictou County, from Pictou/Guysborough County line north about 5.75 kilometres.

The tender closes on Aug. 24. Work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2000.
