Fundy Geological Museum Reaches Milestone
The Fundy Geological Museum has reached a milestone in its history. It has welcomed more than 150,000 visitors.
On Saturday, Aug. 5, Ed and Heather Hewins of Kentville walked through the doors to become the ceremonial 150,000th visitor to the museum since it opened in 1993. To celebrate, the museum awarded the Hewins' a gift basket and a Cumberland County tour package, which includes visits to more than 15 local attractions, two nights accommodation and meals throughout the tour.
Presentations were also made by the Parrsboro deputy mayor Lois Smith; Don Locke, chair of the Parrsboro and District Board of Trade; and Charlotte Roberts, member of the Cumberland Geological Society board of directors.
Officials with the Fundy Geological Museum thank all those involved for helping reach the milestone of 150,000 visitors, and again congratulate Ed and Heather Hewins.
