Road Tenders Called in Four Counties
Tenders are being called Wednesday, July 26, for road projects in Antigonish, Cumberland, Pictou and Victoria counties.
In Antigonish County, a tender is being called for grading, gravelling, pulverization and asphalt concrete repaving on Route 337, from the end of the 1999 upgrading north about 3.4 kilometres. The tender closes Aug. 11; work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
In Cumberland County, a tender is being called for replacement of the existing truss with a panel truss on the Athol Bridge, Route 302. The tender closes on Aug. 11; work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.
In Pictou County, a tender is being called for asphalt concrete repaving in the following three sections:
Section 1: Trans-Canada Highway, eastbound climbing lane from the intersection at Sutherland's River east, about 2.3 kilometres Section 2: Trans-Canada Highway 106, northbound climbing lane from east of Trans-Canada Highway 104 northerly, about 1.3 kilometers to Mount William overpass, about 1.3 kilometers Section 3: Cricket Field Road, from Thorburn Road (Trunk 4) to junction of Marsh Road, Cricket Field Road, and Pine Tree Road, about 1.1 kilometers
The tender closes Aug. 11; work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
In Victoria County, a tender is being called for concrete repair, waterproofing and joint seals on the MacLeod Bridge, Cabot Trail. The tender closes on Aug. 11; work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
