Road Tenders Called in Six Counties

Tenders are being called Wednesday, July 19, for road projects in Annapolis, Cape Breton, Digby, Queens, Shelburne and Yarmouth counties.

In Annapolis County, a tender is being called for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving on Shore Road east/west, from Gaskill's Brook Bridge westerly to Young's Cove, about 6.4 kilometres. The tender closes Friday, Aug. 4 and work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, Oct. 31.

In Cape Breton County, a tender is being called for asphalt concrete re-paving, concrete median barrier and lighting on Highway 125, east and west bound lanes from the 1996 repaving at the start of twinning in Sydney River easterly to the end of the double guardrail median near Kings Road, about two kilometres. The tender closes Thursday, Aug. 3, and work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, Oct. 31.

In Digby County, a tender is being called for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving on River Road, from Highway 101 to Bear River First Nations Road, about 7.6 kilometres. The tender closes Thursday, Aug. 3, and work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, Oct 31.

In Queens County, a tender is being called for asphalt concrete repaving on Route 331, from Highway 103 in Mill Village to the Lunenburg/Queens county line, about 6.2 kilometres. The tender closes Thursday, Aug. 3, and work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, Oct. 31.

In Shelburne County, a tender is being called for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving on Forbes Point Road, from the intersection with Trunk 3, southerly 4.8 kilometres to Forbes Point Wharf. The tender closes Friday, Aug. 4, and work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, Oct. 31.

In Yarmouth County, a tender is being called for asphalt concrete repaving on Brooklyn Road, from Prospect Street to Hardscratch Road, about 2.8 kilometres. The tender closes Thursday, Aug. 3, and work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, Oct. 31.
