NEW WORK

HALIFAX COUNTY: Highway 102

Highway 102 outbound from Highway 118/Highway 102 at Miller Lake, to Exit 6 on Highway 102, will have lane closures while micro- surfacing is conducted. The work will commence on Tuesday, July 18, and run from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is expected to be completed on Friday, Aug. 4. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays during the construction project.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Trunk 2

Trunk 2, from Sunnylea Road north to Highway 102 overpass at Enfield, will have lane closures for cold planing and asphalt concrete repaving. The work will commence on Monday, July 17, and run from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is expected to be completed on Thursday, Aug. 31. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays during the construction project.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Highway 101

Highway 101, between Bedford and the Beaverbank Interchange, will be reduced to one lane to remove and replace existing jersey barrier. Work will commence on Saturday, July 8, and run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is expected to be completed on Thursday, Aug. 31. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays during the construction project.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Trunk 4

Trunk 4 at Ben Eoin, Cape Breton Co., will be reduced to one lane for ditching. Work will commence on Friday, July 14, and run from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is expected to be completed Monday, July 31. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect five minute delays.

QUEENS COUNTY: Charleston Bridge

The Charleston Bridge over the Medway River in Queens County is closed indefinitely due to an accident and bridge collapse. A detour is available from the bridge, south on route 472 in Mill Village, then east to Trunk 3 and west on Trunk 3 to route 474 along the Medway River Road, and north to the bridge.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Cabot Trail

The Cabot Trail, from Cape North to Big Intervale, will be reduced to a single lane for chip seal application. Work will commence on Monday, July 17, and run from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is expected to be completed on Monday, July 24. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays during the construction project.

CONTINUING WORK

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Sydney River Bridge

The Sydney River Bridge on Highway 125 will be reduced to alternating lane closures in the eastbound and westbound lanes due to bridge repairs. Work commenced on Wednesday, June 12, and is expected to be completed on Monday, July 31. Vehicle width is restricted to 3.9 metres.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Great Village Bridge

Great Village Bridge, at Trunk 2, will be reduced to one lane for surface preparation and protective coating. The work commenced on Monday, June 26, and runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily. It is expected to be completed on Monday, July 24. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays during the construction project.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 104

The Trans-Canada Highway 104 railroad overpass eastbound, 1.5 kilometres east of the 102/104 interchange, will be reduced to alternating lane closures for repairs. Work will take place daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily until completion on Thursday, Aug. 31. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays during the construction project.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 104

The Trans-Canada Highway 104 westbound, will be reduced to one lane from one kilometre east of Exit 17, westerly to the Debert interchange, for microsealing. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. until completion on Tuesday, Aug. 15.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Mohns Overhead Crossing

The Mohns Overhead Crossing, about 7.4 kilometres from the Cumberland County line on Trunk 4, will have alternating lane closures for bridge repairs. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is expected to be completed on Thursday, Aug. 31.

HANTS COUNTY: Bog Road Bridge

The Bog Road Bridge on Highway 101 will be reduced to one lane for surface preparation and protective coating of steel girders. Work is expected to be completed on Saturday, Aug. 5.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Salmon River Bridge

The Salmon River Bridge On Trunk 7 will be reduced to one lane for bridge rehabilitation. Work is expected to be completed on Tuesday, Aug. 15.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Beaverbank River Bridge

The Beaverbank River Bridge is being replaced. Speed limits have been reduced and posted at 50 km/hr through the work site. Work on the bridge replacement will be completed on Thursday, Aug. 31.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102

Highway 102 northbound lanes in Hants County, from Exit 8 at Elmsdale to Exit 9 at Milford, will be closed for bridge repairs, guard rail, cold planing, asphalt patching and asphalt concrete repaving. Work will take place from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. until completion on Thursday, Aug. 31.

INVERNESS COUNTY: MacKay Bridge

The MacKay Bridge on the Trans-Canada Highway 105, 200 metres west of Route 223, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for bridge repairs. There are traffic lights in effect. Work will be completed on Tuesday, Aug. 15.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Trans-Canada Highway 105

One lane of traffic is closed on Highway 105 through Melford, Blues Mills, and Whycocomagh as it is under construction. The work, that includes cold planing, paving, and repaving, will take place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. until completion on Thursday, Aug. 31. The lengths of the work zones are as follows: 0.5 kilometres in Melford, 3.2 kilometres in Blues Mills and 4.7 kilometres in Whycocomagh.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Highway 103

Alternating lane closures and delays are scheduled on Highway 103 in Lunenburg County while crews perform micro-surfacing. The work runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily, until completion on Tuesday, July 18.

PICTOU COUNTY: Welsford Bridge

The Welsford Bridge in Pictou County will be closed for repairs. The work runs from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., daily, until completion on Friday, July 28. A detour is available via River John Road and West Branch Road.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104

The Trans-Canada Highway 104 will be reduced to one lane, eastbound from Highway 106 overpass to the end of twinning, including ramps at Exits 22, 23, 24 and 25. Work will consist of bridge repair, cold planing asphalt concrete paving and shouldering. The project runs from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. until completion on Thursday, Aug. 31.
