New Exhibit and Museum Day Weekend at Fundy

Fundy Geological Museum in Parrsboro will unveil its newest exhibit, a two-metre high, 10-metre long replica of a Plateosaurus skeleton, this weekend.

The museum's newest acquisition will officially open to the public on Sunday, June 11, at 2 p.m. Included in the day's activities will be presentations by the museum's research lab manager, the director and curator, and the chair of the Cumberland Geological Society board of directors.

Financial support for the purchase of this exhibit was provided by the Department of Tourism and Culture, under the Strategic Tourism Development Program, from the Cumberland Regional Economic Development Association's Strategic Plan Implementation Fund, and the Cumberland Geological Society's Buy-A-Bone campaign.
