Road Tenders Called
Tenders are being called for road projects in Colchester, Halifax, Kings and Lunenburg counties.
In Colchester County, a tender is being called for bridge rehabilitation, concrete repair, plug joints and bearings on the eastbound lanes of the Highway 104 overpass, about 1.5 kilometres east of the Highway 102/104 interchange.
In Halifax County, a tender is being called for microsurfacing in the following two sections: Section 1: Highway 111 from MacCulloch, Exit 5, about 6.6 kilometres. Section 2: Highway 102, northbound lanes from junction of Highway 102 and Highway 118 to Exit 5, about 9.5 kilometres.
In Halifax County, a tender is being called for seal coating in the following three sections: Section 1: Various roads in the Dutch Settlement and Carrolls Corner area for a total of 6.9 kilometres. Section 2: Old Trunk Road, from the Halifax/Hants County Line to Route 277 at Hydes Bridge, for approximately 2.6 kilometres, and Dutch Settlement Road from Old Trunk Road to Route 277, about one kilometre. Section 3: Route 357, from Trunk 7 to Crawfords Bridge, about 12.3 kilometres.
In Lunenburg and Kings counties, tenders have been called for seal coating in the following two sections: Section 1: Mullock Road from Whynaught Road in Whynott Settlement to Trunk 3 at Rhodes Corner, about 4.2 kilometres. Section 2: Various roads in Kings County, approximately 12.4 kilometres.
The tenders for Colchester and Halifax counties will close June 8, 2000. The tenders for Kings, and Lunenburg counties will close June 9, 2000. The work in Halifax, Kings and Lunenburg counties is expected to be completed by Aug. 15, 2000. The work in Colchester County is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2000.
