Hamm Congratulates St. FX

Premier John Hamm today extended his congratulations to the men's basketball team at St. Francis Xavier University for winning the CIAU national championship. The X-Men defeated the University of Brandon Bobcats 61-60 yesterday afternoon at the Halifax Metro Centre.

"This is certainly a tribute to the hard work and dedication put forward by the team under coach Steve Konchalski," said Premier Hamm, who visited coach Konchalski and team members on Thursday to wish them luck. "All Nova Scotians are proud of St. FX for their win and for keeping the national championship in the province."
