Cape Breton East Byelection Date Set

Voters in the provincial constituency of Cape Breton East will vote in a byelection on Tuesday, April 4, Premier John Hamm announced today.

The byelection will fill the vacancy which resulted from the decision of Justice Merlin Nunn on voting irregularities in the constituency during last summer's general election.

"The people of Cape Breton East deserve to have an elected representative for the spring Session of the House of Assembly," said the premier.
