Open House in Whycocomagh

The Department of Transportation and Public Works is holding an open house in Whycocomagh, Inverness Co., to talk about potential changes to the intersection at Highway 105 and Route 252.

The meeting is set for Wednesday, March 1, at Cameron Hall, Stewart United Church. Department staff will be there from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. to answer questions and provide information about the intersection options.

"We're eager to talk about this with the community, to get their thoughts and outline our proposals," said Peter Hackett, project engineer with the department. "We've been reviewing the existing alignment and setup of the intersection. And we've come up with four potential options to help reduce the traffic problems and the chance of accidents."

All those interested are invited to attend.
