CUMBERLAND COUNTY

The following roads in Cumberland County are closed due to flooding or washed-out bridges. This is not a comprehensive list. Motorists travelling through Cumberland County are advised to check with the local area office at 902-667-3861 for updates on road closures.

  • Flooding on Trans-Canada Highway 104 at Springhill, Exit 5. RCMP are on-site.
  • Route 302, Maccan to Little Forks Road, is closed due to flooding and a tractor trailer extraction.

  • Rodney Road, flooding
  • Goodwin Road, flooding
  • Beecham Road, flooding
  • Lower Maccan Road, flooding
  • Route 242, flooding
  • Route 366, from Linden area to Amherst, flooding
  • Route 366, from Trunk 6 to MacLellans Brook, flooding
  • Trunk 6, Truemanville area, flooding
  • Trunk 2, Newville Lake area, flooding
  • West Brook Road, flooding
  • Roescoe Branch Road, flooding
  • Route 301, flooded areas
  • West Advocate Road, flooding

  • Flooding on Route 209 near the New Salem bridge area

KINGS COUNTY: Gaspereau River Road

The Gaspereau River Road, west of the Grand Pre Road, outside New Minas is closed due to flooding.

DIGBY COUNTY

  • Highway 217, Digby Neck at Seawall Hill, is flooded, covering an area of about 200 metres to a depth of 600 millimetres in places. The shoulders have been washed out. Staff are assessing the road to determine if there has been any undermining of the pavement.
  • The Fort Point Road was closed. There has been some asphalt washed out. There are still sections of the road that are under water.
  • The New Road in Weymouth is barricaded due to washed-out sections.
  • A number of roads in the Weymouth area have eroded shoulders and will require repairs to the asphalt surface.
  • Sections of the Gulliver's Cove Road are flooded.
