'Enviro-Sessions' to be Held Across Province
The Nova Scotia Department of the Environment is partnering with the federal government and private and not-for-profit organizations to host a series of information sessions to promote environmental funding programs.
The "enviro-sessions" begin next week and are scheduled for communities across Nova Scotia until early November.
"Local communities and organizations have a better idea of the kinds of initiatives that are needed or desired in their area," said Environment Minister Ron Russell. "These sessions offer information on the funding and assistance options available to community organizations to help them carry out some of these projects."
Presentations will feature the Nova Scotia Youth Conservation Corps, the Go for Green Fund, Community Animation Program Atlantic, EcoAction 2000, the Nova Scotia Power Waterworks Program and the Friends of the Environment Foundation.
