NEW WORK

HALIFAX COUNTY: Milford Bridge

Milford Bridge will be closed for replacement of steel bridge floor and wood decking, Sept. 7-10, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists can detour via Route 277 or Route 224, local traffic only to the bridge.

HANTS COUNTY: Walker Road Bridge

Walker Road Bridge is closed between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. until Sept. 20 for bridge replacement work. Motorists may detour via Atwood Road to Route 236 or Route 236 to Atwood Road.

KINGS COUNTY: Trunk 1

Motorists are advised that Trunk 1, from Lockhart Mountain Road to Coldbrook Village Park Road, will be controlled by flagpersons for storm sewer, widening, curb and gutter, traffic lights and asphalt repaving, starting Sept. 7. The completion date for this work is Oct. 31. For the first two weeks expect delays from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and for the remainder of project expect delays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

RICHMOND COUNTY: County Line

The Richmond County Line will be reduced to one lane for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt paving, starting Sept. 7. until Motorists can expect delays daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until project completion, Oct. 31. Note: Middle Cape area of Trunk 4 will be reduced to one lane, Sept. 2-3.

CONTINUING WORK

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Route 337

Route 337, about 3.2 kilometres north of the Antigonish town line, is reduced to one lane for subgrade, pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete paving. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and is to be completed Oct. 31.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Highway 104

The underpass on Highway 104 near Beaver Meadow is closed so crews can carry out work on the bridge. The eastbound and westbound traffic on Highway 104 are detoured around the bridge at Exit 30. The Beaver Meadow Road is closed at the Exit 30 underpass. The detour directs motorists to the Exit 30 interchange ramps and then back onto Highway 104. This work will continue until Nov. 30.

Motorists are reminded to use caution when travelling through a construction area.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Route 223

Route 223 is reduced to one lane for ditching, pulverization, gravelling and paving. Motorists can expect delays daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Nov. 15.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Highway 125

The ramps at the Peppett St. interchange (Exit 2) of Highway 125 are relocated until Oct. 31. The temporary exit is located near the area where Highway 125 crosses Pottie Lake and it will be posted as Exit 2. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays during the construction project.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 104, Masstown

The eastbound lane on Highway 104 near Masstown is reduced to one lane for planing, asphalt paving, shouldering and guardrail installation. Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. until Sept. 15.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Salmon River Bridge

The Salmon River Bridge on Highway 102 northbound will be reduced to one lane for rehabilitation, July 20, between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., and every second weekend until Sept. 30. The highway will be signed for wide load detour, or over four metres.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Jackson Bridge

Jackson Bridge on Thompson Road is being repaired until Sept. 17. Only local traffic is allowed to the bridge while through traffic will detour via Silica Road.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Route 277

Motorists are advised that Route 277 from Hurshman Road easterly to Antrim road will be reduced to one lane for ditching, culverts, guard rails, pulverization, gravel, asphalt concrete paving and shoulder gravel work. Work is taking place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Oct. 31. A detour will be in effect from Sept. 4 to Sept. 6 via Trunk 2 and Milford Road.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Pockwock Road

Pockwock Road, from the intersection at Route 213 to White Hills Run, including the left-turn lane on Route 213 (about 2.1 kilometres) is reduced to one lane for pulverization, grading, gravelling and paving. Roadwork takes place daily between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. until Sept. 14.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Route 252/395

Motorists are advised that Route 252-395 is reduced to one lane for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt placement. The work will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. until Sept. 30.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Highway 105

Motorists are advised that Highway 105, from Port Hastings to Queensville, is being sprayed with Herbicide. The work will take place between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. until completion on Sept. 17.

KINGS COUNTY: Highway 101

Motorists are advised that Highway 101, between Exit 14 (Coldbrook) and Exit 15 (Berwick), is reduced to one lane -- alternate sides -- for cold planing. Delays are expected daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Sept. 11.

KINGS COUNTY: Horton Bridge, Highway 101

Horton Bridge on Highway 101 is restricted to one lane westbound until Oct. 31 for sandblasting and repainting. Motorists can expect delays.

KINGS COUNTY: Middle Dyke Road

Asphalt paving is taking place on the Middle Dyke Road from Belcher Street northerly to Scott Drive, a distance of almost one kilometre. The work will take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily until Sept. 10. Motorists should expect delays.

PICTOU COUNTY: Stewart Bridge

Motorists are advised that the Stewart Bridge on Plymouth Park Road is closed for replacement. Work will take place until Sept. 8. Motorists may detour via Stellarton Church Bridge.

PICTOU COUNTY: West River Station Road

The West River Station Road overpass has alternating lane closures, for surface preparation and protective coating work, until Sept. 30. Delays are expected daily from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

SHELBURNE COUNTY: Upper Clyde Road

Upper Clyde Road, from 1.6 kilometre north of Highway 103 at Clyde River, northerly 1.5 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for gravelling and paving. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. until completion on Oct. 31.

SHELBURNE COUNTY: Sandy Point

Sand (Sandy) Point Road starting at the Shelburne town line and ending 6.5 kilometres west of CFB Shelburne will be reduced to one lane for pulvarizing, gravelling and paving. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. until completion on Oct. 31.
