Tenders Called for Counties

Tenders are being called Saturday, Aug. 28, for road projects in Cumberland, Digby, Hants, Inverness and Kings counties.

In Cumberland County, a tender is being called for asphalt concrete repaving on Highway 104, eastbound from Trunk 2 viaduct easterly to Exit 4 at South Albion Street, totalling about 5.7 kilometres.

In Digby County, a tender is being called for asphalt concrete repaving on Highway 101, from the east end of Exit 28 easterly to Sissiboo River, around four kilometres.

In Hants County, a tender is being called for asphalt concrete repaving on Trunk 1 from the Mount Uniacke Connector westerly to Beamish (Old Mines) Road, approximately 7.6 kilometres.

In Inverness County, a tender is being called for ditching, pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving, totalling four kilometres, in the following two areas:

  • Section 1: Route 252, various sections from Brook Village easterly, about three kilometres

  • Section 2: Route 252, various sections from East Skye Glen Road easterly, around one kilometre

In Kings County, a tender is being called for retaining wall and bridge repairs on the following two sections, totalling 0.08 kilometres:

  • Section 1: Deep Hollow Road at intersection of Lower Sunken Lake Road, about 0.08 kilometres

  • Section 2: Edward Pineo Bridge, Pereaux Road

The tenders for Cumberland and Hants counties will close Sept. 14. The tenders for Digby, Inverness and Kings counties will close Sept. 15.

The work in Cumberland, Digby, Hants, Inverness and Kings counties is expected to be carried out by Nov. 15.
