Government Caucus Chair Appointed

Premier John Hamm today announced the appointment of Tim Olive as the government caucus chair.

Mr. Olive, MLA for Dartmouth South, was selected to oversee the management and operations of the expanded Progressive Conservative caucus.

"Tim Olive has the right mix of energy, community experience and business know-how to work with his caucus colleagues as we meet the challenges of government," said Premier Hamm. "He exemplifies the talent that government caucus members are putting to work on behalf of the people of Nova Scotia."

Mr. Olive is a downtown Dartmouth business owner who was first elected to the legislature July 27. He is a married father of two adult daughters and the grandfather of one.

The government caucus whip will be named at a later date.
