Tenders Called for Three Counties

Tenders will be called Saturday, June 26, for road projects in Pictou, Inverness and Shelburne counties.

A tender will be called for pulverization, gravelling, and asphalt concrete paving and repaving on four sections in Pictou County, totalling about 4.64 kilometres.

The four sections are:

Section 1: Route 347 (Sherbrooke Road), from Blue Mountain to French River in Moose River, totalling roughly 4.0 kilometres.

Section 2: Saunders Road, from Alma Road westerly to Station 0+200, totalling about 0.2 kilometres.

Section 3: Hilltop Court, O. MacLean Road westerly, totalling about 0.14 kilometres.

Section 4: Station Road, from Station/Trafalgar Road southerly to Elgin Road, totalling about 0.3 kilometres.

A tender will be called for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete paving on the following two sections in Inverness County, totalling approximately 5 kilometres:

Section 1: Route 252, from Highway 105 westerly, totalling about 3.8 kilometres.

Section 2: Route 395, from Route 252 northerly, totalling about 1.2 kilometres.

A tender will be called for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete paving on the following two sections in Shelburne County, totalling about 8.6 kilometres:

Section 1: Sand (Sandy) Point Road, from 6.5 kilometers west of CFB Shelburne to Shelburne town line, totalling about 7.1 kilometres.

Section 2: Upper Clyde Road, from 1.6 kilometres north of Highway 103, northerly, totalling about 1.5 kilometres.

The tenders for these projects will close July 13, and the work is expected to be completed by October 31.
