Annual Equipment and Tool Auction

Transportation and Public Works will hold its annual equipment auction Saturday, June 26, showcasing one of the largest selections of tools and equipment to date at a government auction.

The auction will take place at the department's Miller Lake facility on Old Guysborough Road, at Exit 5 off Highway 118 in Halifax County. The all-day event begins at 10 a.m. and is open to the public.

Heavy construction equipment such as loaders, graders, plows, backhoes and tractors, and more unusual items like hydraulic jacks, snow blowers, a metal lathe and furnaces are all on the auction block.

Also included in the auction is a sizable inventory of equipment and tools from other departments of the provincial government and the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Bidders are expected from across the province and as far away as Ontario, Quebec and the United States.

The auction and is being conducted by Burden Auctioneers and Liquidators Ltd.
