Tenders Called for Four Counties

Tenders have been called for road projects in Lunenburg, Digby, Kings and Antigonish Counties.

In Lunenburg County, a tender has been called for micro-surfacing on Highway 103 from about 1.0 kilometres east of Martins River Bridge to about 1.4 kilometres west of Trunk 14, totalling roughly 16.6 kilometres.

In Digby County, a tender has been called for micro-surfacing on the following sections:

  • Highway 101, Bear River Bridge, about 0.6 kilometres;
  • Route 217, Little Ferry and East Ferry, about 1.8 kilometres.

In Kings County, a tender has been called for storm sewer upgrading, pulverization, vertical realignment and asphalt concrete paving on the following sections, totalling roughly 1.58 kilometres:

  • Middle Dyke Road, from Belcher Street to Scott Drive, about 0.9 kilometres;
  • Victoria Drive, from Bridge Street easterly to end, about 0.4 kilometres;
  • Maple Avenue, from Whitman Road northerly, about 0.28 kilometres.

In Antigonish County, a tender has been called for concrete repair, waterproofing and repaving on the Trans Canada Highway 104, West River Bridge.

The tenders for Lunenburg and Digby counties will close June 29. The tenders for Kings and Antigonish counties will close July 6.

The work in Lunenburg and Digby counties is expected to be carried out by August 31. The work in Kings and Antigonish counties is expected to be carried out by October 31.
