Staff to Review Kaufman Report

Staff of the Public Prosecution Service received their copies of Justice Fred Kaufman's review of the service this morning.

"This report appears to be a very positive, thoughtful document with many constructive recommendations," said Martin Herschorn, deputy director of the service. "However, further comment from the service will have to wait as it will take some time to give this report the thorough analysis it deserves."

Mr. Herschorn said a group has been assembled to respond to Kaufman's recommendations on behalf of the service. The group includes Crown attorneys, managers and support staff from the service. They will consult with other staff members and the response will be presented to the attorney general later this month.
