Discover Country Wines This Summer
From Californian Chardonnay to Italian Chianti, Nova Scotian connoisseurs will have more wines to choose from over the next few months.
The Nova Scotia Liquor Commission has launched Discover Country Wines, a special program that offers wine lovers a wider selection from around the world. The program runs from May to October in 35 stores provincewide.
Each month, Nova Scotians will be introduced to six to eight popular brands of wine selected from one country. The locations to be featured are California in May, Germany in June, Italy in July, Canada in August, Spain in September and Australia in October.
The impetus for the program came from the Port of Wines Festival, held annually in the first week of November.
"The success of the festival encouraged us to give Nova Scotians more choices," said Bruce Rogers, executive director of retail services, Nova Scotia Liquor Commission. "We hope that consumers will enjoy the wines we have selected."
