Weight Restriction Dates Revised
Due to favourable weather conditions in the western region of Nova Scotia, the Minister of Transportation and Public Works announced today that the spring weight restriction period will be revised as follows:

in Yarmouth, Shelburne, Digby, and Queens counties, spring weight restrictions will be removed effective 12:01 a.m., April 5, instead of April 19.

in Annapolis, Kings, and Lunenburg counties, the spring weight restrictions will be removed effective 12:01 a.m., April 5, instead of April 22.
The restriction period for the counties of Halifax and Hants remains unchanged. The restriction period for these counties ends 12:01 a.m., April 22.
Also, the restriction period for the counties of Colchester, Cumberland, Pictou, Antigonish, Guysborough, Richmond, Inverness, Victoria and Cape Breton remains unchanged. The restriction period for these counties ends 12:01 a.m., April 26.
The transportation minister has the right to revise the zones, weight restrictions, and the list of roads exempted as conditions warrant.
