Colchester County: Route 236

Route 236 between the on-ramp to Highway 102 and Truro Heights Road will be closed for about four weeks for extensive repairs beginning today. Flooding caused by heavy rain washed out a culvert and a section of the road. Traffic is being detoured through Truro Heights. Directional signs have been posted. Local emergency services have been notified.

The washed-out culvert will be replaced with a more efficient structure and the roadbed rebuilt.
