1998-99 Nova Scotia Art Bank Purchase Program
The Department of Education and Culture today announced the 1998-99 Nova Scotia Art Bank Purchase Program.
The Nova Scotia Art Bank was created to recognize Nova Scotian artists and to stimulate public awareness of the visual arts through the purchase of artwork that reflects the best of current visual expression.
Any professional visual artist, craftsperson, or private art gallery dealer who has been a resident in Nova Scotia for the past 12 months may apply to have work considered for purchase through a juried process. Work must have been produced during the past three years.
Completed applications must be received at the Department of Education and Culture, Cultural Affairs Division, by 4:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 22, 1999. Late applications will be returned.
